Benefits of palm oil for the skin. What is certified sustainable palm oil?

Palm oil is among the most consumed food ingredients in the world, and is used in about half of all packaged food products.

Palm oil (Elaeis guineensis) is produced from the pulp or fleshy portion of the palm fruit.

In terms of the content of various forms of vitamin E, palm oil occupies a leading position among vegetable oils.

The uniqueness of the biochemical composition of palm oil is largely due to the presence in it of coenzyme Q10, the strongest natural antioxidant. It is a powerful catalyst for energy metabolism processes in cells.

For mature, discolored, dry, flaky or rough skin, it is recommended to use palm oil instead of a night cream or as an emollient and nourishing facial mask (lubricate the face with oil, leave on for 15 minutes and then remove excess oil with a napkin).

Palm oil has a moisturizing effect on the skin, protecting it from dryness and flaking, and it also protects the skin from premature aging, the formation of wrinkles and age spots associated with hormonal imbalances or excessive exposure to ultraviolet rays. Palm oil has a multiple anti-inflammatory and healing effect.

Regular cosmetic use of palm oil will help remove brittle and split nails, excess oil from the scalp, and improve hair growth and condition.

It is not recommended to use palm oil in its pure form. It is used in a mixture with other oils. Make sure to note that this tool is not suitable for oily skin.

Palm oil has been used in the making of artisan soap for thousands of years.

Palm oil is an excellent moisturizer and promotes soft, smooth skin.

It is a good bar of hard natural soap that cleans well when used in combination with other oils such as coconut and olive. Provides hardness and soft, creamy bubbles to soap.

Palm oil creates an excellent long-lasting cleansing and hydrating soap with a lush lather.

While palm oil works well with soaps and other foods, it has become a hotly debated topic.

Global concerns about the impact of the increasing number of palm oil plantations on the rights of indigenous peoples and the destruction of wildlife and biodiversity must be addressed.

At Ja Bonita Fábrica, we appreciate our planet and its inhabitants. We know that although we play a very small role, we must always make environmentally and socially responsible decisions.

The certified organic palm oil that we use to make our soaps is grown and produced according to sustainable standards.

Our RSPO Certified Organic Palm Oil is sourced directly from a certified supplier, away from the rainforests of Indonesia. We will never sell or use non-certified palm oil even though it is much cheaper and more available. We will only receive from RSPO verified and certified suppliers, which are clearly listed in the RSPO database. Currently, RSPO certified palm oil accounts for approximately 40% of world production.

Palm oil production plays a very important role in the economies of many developing countries and supports some of the poorest communities in the world.

Not only does palm oil generate a lot of income for indigenous peoples, it also generates income from a limited amount of land. The problem is not the oil palm, but where and how we grow it.

In 2008, the RSPO developed a series of environmental and social criteria that companies must meet in order to produce certified sustainable palm oil (CSPO). When applied correctly, these criteria help minimize negative impacts, such as deforestation.

Control Union Certifications is an RSPO authorized certification body, accredited by ASI, and will execute the RSPO certification of sustainable palm oil in line with the procedures specified in the RSPO certification scheme.
